Repair Midi / Dvd Player 

(No display on front panel & no functions on all key buttons)

Tip #1: 

Check and measure 5v, -12v and +12v on the secondory side of the PSU section. If all said voltages are present, please check the main chip on the Mpeg Module board for overheating.. After checking for a normal heat ( can touch the chip ic whith-in 3-5 mins ) and now sure and safe of the chip, just dont forget to check the rectifier diodes and big transistors around the module board ( S8050 / S8550 ) or better yet you take it out from the board to be sure of its leakage state, set your multitester to X100k to be sure its not leaking..

Tip #2:

After confirming the above tips are OK, then you have a 99% CORRUPTED eeprom/dumps. This is time to have an Eeprom Programmer, which i am introducing here on my BLOG. You can reprogram the eeprom which is corrupted and back from original state ( like they did on the chinese service centers) , though you can now edit LOGO, IR CODE MAPS, and VFD CODES...
